These Terms govern access to and use of the CostVane website, API, documentation, and related services. By using the service, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself or the organization you represent.

Service and eligibility

CostVane provides AI cost estimation, usage attribution, budget evaluation, and related developer tools. You must be authorized to bind your organization and use the service in compliance with applicable law.

Accounts and API keys

You are responsible for safeguarding API keys, limiting access to authorized personnel, and promptly notifying us of suspected compromise. Activity performed with your keys is treated as activity of your account.

Acceptable use

You may not use CostVane to violate law, infringe rights, disrupt or probe the service, bypass limits, distribute malicious code, access another customer’s data, or resell the service without written permission. Do not submit prompts, model outputs, provider credentials, or sensitive personal information in metadata fields.

Fees and plans

Paid plans, operation limits, overages, billing intervals, and renewal terms are presented when you subscribe or in an order form. Launch pricing may change for future billing periods with reasonable notice. Taxes may apply.

Customer data

You retain rights in information you submit. You grant CostVane permission to process that information only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the service and to meet legal obligations.

Third-party services

Pricing references and integrations may depend on third-party providers. Provider pricing, model availability, and external services can change independently. You are responsible for reviewing estimates before relying on them for consequential decisions.

Availability and changes

We aim to operate a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features and will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. Cost estimates may differ from provider invoices due to pricing changes, rounding, provider-specific rules, or submitted data. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CostVane will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits, revenues, data, or business opportunities.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach, security risk, nonpayment, or legal necessity. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
